• Syrang Certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.

Lascar-I

• 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board of Knowledge of swimming.
• One year of experience on a registered vessel.

Fireman (Boat Crew)

• 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board.
• Knowledge of swimming.
• Certificate of having completed pre-sea training course.

Topass

• 10th pass from a recognized Institute or Board.
• Knowledge of swimming.
